#UPDATING SCT DEVICE UPDATER ERROR INCORRECT FILE SIZE DRIVER#
I have attached a DISM log I found which may help, I have since updated my graphics driver so I know that's up to date: I hope someone could help me in a more methodical way to resolve these problems. I enjoy the problem solving but I have little technical skill and just follow instructions I read on google searches. I have tried so many solutions I can't quite remember them all, I tried to start a fresh reset today but even that failed. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. I stopped using an AV instead trusting windows defender and no problems were found, I even downloaded the windows security troubleshooter with up-to-date virus, malware and pup definitions (which is only valid for 10 days) and no problems were found. I've downloaded and run win 10 update assistant but that failed to solve the problem.

I did a fresh install of windows 10 Education 64-bit but experienced problems updating getting the error 8073712 (I think). I have win 10 installed and first noticed problems whilst playing a game on steam which suggested a problem with my disk, all disk scans found no errors though. First of all I'd like to wish you all a merry Christmas and thank you in advance for any support you guys can offer.
